I cringe every time an 8-12 week study is published showing that these insane volumes provide a few % advantage over 3-6, up to 8-10 weekly, sustainable sets…but yet everyone jumps all over it. So what’s the plan? Should everyone now start spending 3hrs in the gym? And even if you get more rapid gains, genes and hormones determine the ceiling of muscle size - it doesn’t matter if you get there a few years sooner

@wolfcoach_ also, Don’t with decades and hundreds of studies that all point in the same direction I just can’t see any reason why a single study suddenly will turn everything upside down


Rapidly increasing volume by 4-6 sets every 2 weeks would cause some degree of muscle damage and swelling. Unless they measured at least 5-7 days after the last workout the results would be biased by that.
